Who are we?
We are the faces behind Section 32 Farms - Joe and Danielle Devota. Joe has been helping out on his family’s small farm in Chesaning, Michigan since he was young. Danielle didn’t grow up anywhere near a farm and knew nothing about it. Period. Once we got married, we started growing a dream of having our own farm, raising our family around it, and doing things our own way.

Let’s talk about a sensitive subject for a second - grocery store prices. We’re all aware of the spike we’ve seen at the checkout lately. And nowhere is this more obvious than when you’re buying meat.
Learning how to pivot
We recently woke up to a surprise shipment of 100 chicks! We were planning on these chicks, just a month and a half later. Let’s just say the timing was less than ideal! Joe was heading out for the weekend, and I was already on planning solo parenting and caring for our 100 other chickens, pigs, and cattle (around my pregnant belly to top it off).
Babies, babies, babies!
This spring we welcomed four new baby calves on to the farm. Along with our baby calves, we also have our first batch of baby chicks that arrived at the beginning of April. It’s certainly baby fever over at the farm right now.
